Is it normal for my dog to bleed when I trim her claws?

best answer
A bleeding claw means that you cut too deep and went into the quick. Though we want to avoid this, accidents do tend to happen. It is especially hard to avoid if your dog's claws haven't been clipped regularly as the quick tends to grow.
The more regular you make claw trimming, the less chance you will have of causing pain and bleeding.
While accidents do happen, bleeding should be a fairly rare occurrence when trimming is performed properly.
